Dear Parents/Carers,

Welcome back after the holidays!, it only seems like five minutes ago we were breaking up for the summer and now we are on the countdown to Christmas.

Firstly I would like to say how very lucky I feel to have been appointed as the new Head Teacher here at Robert Shaw, working with such a dedicated team of professionals who work very hard to make your child’s time at school, exciting, stimulating and fun. This motivates the children into wanting to come to school, do their best and reach their potential.

I am a local girl, having lived by Beechdale Baths until I992. I now live with my husband and 2 boys in the city. I was lucky as a child to have visited Robert Shaw each summer attending the summer fayre, and was very glad to find out that this event is still part of our school.

Thank you to all of the parents who have already popped in to see me, to wish me luck and I look forward to having the opportunity to meet many more of you soon.
